8/26 OTA Update Problem

I did the ota update but the sprint corp 4g widget does not work.  I tap on it and it does nothing.  The update also messed up the GPS widget.  When I press the GPS widget the phone restarts.  Has anyone else had this problem?

Yes , the gps widget restarted the phone . The only way to turn the gps on or off is in settings , pain in the ares.

The corporate 4G widget isn't useful for the average consumer. It was added for corporate accounts running internal 4G networks powered by the Sprint network. For 99.9% of people it will do nothing. There is already a 4G widget for the regular Sprint 4G network that most people will use.I haven't had an issue with my GPS widget. I would recommend clearing the cache and data for the HTC Sense application in the settings. You will probably have to recustomize Sense, but that should remove anything that could be corrupted in there.

Tried clearing sense data and cache, no luck. Have seen the "gps widget problem " mentioned  on other forums .

You can install the android power widget.  It takes up an entire row, but gives quick access to bluetooth, gps, brightness, among others.  I'm using it until they get the GPS widget fixed.

Strange a lot of us didn't get the GPS widget problem. Did you try all the normal steps, to fix it? Delete the widget, put it back. Do a battery pull. Or lastly a factory reset.

Well, enough people on forums are seeing this that is is definitely a problem.  Based on the log files, something is messed up for some users in the update.  Looks like its related to permissions on the secure settings.  Like the widget has lost its write authority and is now crashing out.  What's the proper channel to get this to HTC so it can be fixed?
