EVOs delayed indefinitely by US Customs
HTC confirms US Customs delay at border
Delay is for both in-store and pre-ordered phones. Deliveries delayed until at least May 25.
Yes after the outrage about paying for something and not getting it was over ,we have to zero in on who is at fault .And yes you got it Apple plain and simple they did not go after T-Mobile just their partners Sprint and AT&T.Kind of strange wouldn't you say...not really direct competition.HTC put in a workaround in the software for Apple here it is.http://www.goodandevo.net/2012/05/how-htc-has-side-stepped-apples-patent-in-the-htc-evo-4g-lte.html#...
Yes this is Apple's doing. But the blame IMO should be on the gov't and the courts. Afterall they did give Apple the power to do this and continue to let them do this. Apple is simply doing what any business would do if they can....make money.
I agree they are going after the Sprint and ATT phones because those companies sell their iphone. Sprint should not be surprised that Apple has no loyalty to a service provider. They dont care about the carrier. Just the sales of the phone.
Again, blame the courts for entitling Apple with the power to pick and choose which phones they want to accuse of going against their patents. It is what it is. You know we have very corrupt courts and gov't right?? This si not shocking to me. Just the way Sprint has handled it is the only thing surprising. Sprint, ATT, and HTC called Apple's bluff on this. Appearantly they were not bluffing.
Not really they where hoping for the hold to be lifted and everything would go without a hitch...and it blew up in their face. And they thought that because this has never happened before.
On the flip side, I hope that means this will be sorted out very quickly, and we will still have our phones next week.
Actually, it's easier to just dispute the charge with your credit company, if that's how you paid. Then your creditor does all the work. I don't think many people care much about the $ received from class action suits. It's really more about making a point with companies that act like they can just do whatever they want. Even though each of us may only get change, it adds up fast for the defendant.
I believe a class action suite for interest Sprint is making on customers money is justified.
You realize that is $0.04 a week, MAX, right? It isn't worth my time to even READ about a class action suit for what is likely to amount to less than a quarter. That doesn't even include what the lawyer would take. The only winners in class action suits are the lawyers. VERY few people get paid any significant amount of money. The vast majority get checks for $0.67 in the mail.
I understand you're upset, but that certainly isn't the answer. If your really feeling litigious take 'em to small claims court for your $200.07.
On the warehouse question in KY and why probably everything is ready to go check this.http://insidesprintnow.wordpress.com/ everything is automated meaning labeled just sitting there.
Yes, received the same notification myself this morning. They will catch allot of heat if it turns out to be wrong.
i thought you were holding off for a while before you picked this phone up? lol
