Re: HTC EVO 4G LTE - DELAY

i dont think there will be a problem.....there are many sources saying the the new release date is moving to may 23......also HTC has fixed the problem Apple had with its patent.....so it looks promising but who knows??

Re: HTC EVO 4G LTE - DELAY

HTC had already fixed the problem before any of this. Think its a coincidence that Apple has customs stop shipment of the Evo. Then market the Iphone 4 for 49.99. PPPAAALLLLEASE

Re: HTC EVO 4G LTE - DELAY

Yes...  I was actually quoting and responding to a post that said Sprint never communicated that our phones were waiting in a warehouse.  That's why I pointed out that the first notification I received from Sprint indicated that "a shiny new Evo with my name on it has been set aside in our warehouse."

The phones are at a werehouse and pre order ones at the distrobution center in KY but can't be released because of the injunction. Until then they sit. http://insidesprintnow.wordpress.com/2012/05/16/why-you-cant-cancel-your-sprint-order/

I found this out ...http://www.3plogistics.com/UPS_3-2008.htm  This would mean they are ready to go I think.

Re: HTC EVO 4G LTE - DELAY

I'm not sure if this is the correct post to make this statement, but I wanted to express my disappointment with Sprint's customer service.  We all know that they could have done a better job with the whole ITC/Apple situation and the shipments being held.  But to blatently disregard my VERY specific question regarding if the new HTC EVO LTE will work on current wimax networks (and I already know it doesn't, I just wanted them to admit it)....this is the response I received from TWO separate CSR reps:

Dear xxxx,

Thank you for your reply.

You will be able to use 4G data inside most buildings, in a car, and

outside at your area.

We value your business and appreciate the opportunity to answer your

questions.

Sincerely,

Max P.

After reading the response below, I don't believe my question was

answered.

Will the HTC EVO 4G LTE be able to utilize Sprint's WiMax service in the

Seattle area, or will it just be able to use 3G data until LTE is rolled

out here?

Thank you in advance for your response,

xxxxxx

Inquiry) (xxxxxx)

Dear xxxxxx,

Thank you for contacting Sprint. I understand your query regarding 4g

coverage. Yes, you will continue to receive 4G coverage. Sprint remains

committed to our WiMAX customers. Sprint plans to sell WiMAX devices with two

year contracts through 2012.

WiMAX devices will operate on the CDMA network and get the benefits of

Network Vision associated with Sprint’s 3G service, but they will not

operate on Sprint’s LTE network. WiMAX customers should continue to

get the great 4G speeds.

We value your business and appreciate the opportunity to answer your

questions. Please reply to this email or visit sprint.com if we can be

of assistance.

Sincerely,

Bernadette S.

> Original Question:

Question: I'm interested in purchasing the HTC EVO 4G LTE phone, but I

have a question regarding wimax compatibility. I currently own the

original EVO 4G and live in Seattle, WA. I have great 4G coverage on

my current phone, but I understand that it is running on wimax technology.

I know that LTE won't be coming to Seattle for quite a few months and

I  wanted to know if I will be able to use the 4G network currently in

Seattle, or will I be stuck on 3G speeds until LTE is rolled out in

this area?

Thank you for your response.
