HTC EVO 4G LTE - NOW SHIPPING

HTC shared this statement regarding the HTC EVO 4G LTE:

“The US availability of HTC One X and HTC EVO 4G LTE has been delayed due to a standard U.S. Customs review of shipments that is required after an ITC exclusion order. We believe we are in compliance with the ruling and HTC is working closely with Customs to secure approval. HTC One X and HTC EVO 4G LTE have both received enthusiastic support and we appreciate customers patience as we work to get these products into their hands as soon as possible.”

Here's Information from Sprint:

  • HTC EVO 4G LTE availability

The U.S. availability of the HTC EVO 4G LTE has been delayed.  HTC is working to resolve this issue and appreciates your patience as they work to get products into Sprint channels. Has anyone received a shipping e-mail or status change?

Not to my knowledge, I was checking the other threads out and no tracking #'s as of yet.  Like a few of us have stated though, Sprint shipping in the past has seem to come over-night shipping so I don't expect to get a tracking # until maybe late tonight.  Hoping MyUPS informs me so I have a heads up lol

I would suspect most people will receive the actual phone delivery prior to or in conjunction with the notification email.  Particularly since it appears the delivery service will be overnight or two-day.  "Hurry up and wait"

For those of you who, like me, pre-ordered in the store, I just spoke to my store and they said that as far as they know (officially) there hasn't been a change in status and that the phones are still being held by customs.  So clearly, Sprint hasn't passed the word down to it's own corporate stores.  You would think that the news would have spread out internally by now and been filtered down to the boots on the ground sales people, but then that would be common sense and thus have no place in this situation.

If anyone else who ordered in store has heard something different, please post so we can all share the news.

When did you place your preorder?  And is that the basic free edition of UPS myChoice?

the first day of pre-order, yes its the free version

myChoice is UPS's new department that contracts out the USPS to finish the delivery.. UPS spends all the money to do the major travel (which isn't much considering how many things are being sent everywhere constantly) then lets snail mail deliver it to the local points.. This definitely slows delivery down by atlease a day.. probably 2.

myChoice is the same service that credit card companies use to send out the items that you get from cashing in reward points on items. I ordered a game one time from my rewards.. took a week, then got lost in a city 30 mins away.. and I'm in Tacoma,Wa lol.. tell me why it would go to a different city when I live in a major city?

Who know's what this means for our phones..

I ordered mine the first day as well. My order was complete in 3 or 4 minutes. I guess you must have been faster seeming you're about to get yours. Were you not sent a tracking number via email from Sprint? What about looking your order up on www.sprint.com/myorder and seeing if there was a tracking number there?
