HTC shared this statement regarding the HTC EVO 4G LTE: 

“The US availability of HTC One X and HTC EVO 4G LTE has been delayed due to a standard U.S. Customs review of shipments that is required after an ITC exclusion order. We believe we are in compliance with the ruling and HTC is working closely with Customs to secure approval. HTC One X and HTC EVO 4G LTE have both received enthusiastic support and we appreciate customers patience as we work to get these products into their hands as soon as possible.”

Here's Information from Sprint: 

  • HTC EVO 4G LTE availability

The U.S. availability of the HTC EVO 4G LTE has been delayed.  HTC is working to resolve this issue and appreciates your patience as they work to get products into Sprint channels. We can’t provide specific timing for product availability at this time and we appreciate your patience as HTC works to get products on store shelves as soon as possible.

  • Pre-order status/availability

Delivery of products for pre-order are on hold and Sprint will provide a ship date as soon as possible. Sprint will maintain the promise for the preorder customers that they will be among the first to receive their HTC EVO 4G LTE units.

  • Cancellation procedure update (5/18 update)

We are allowing customers to cancel their pre-order and receive refunds. If you need to cancel your order, you may either call care directly at 866-789-8292, refuse delivery, or request a return authorization kit once your device arrives. For a return kit, please call us at 866-789-8292 during the following business hours: Monday to Friday 8:00 am EST to 11:00 pm EST, and Saturday & Sunday 9:00 am EST to 9:00 pm EST.

Again, I apologize for any inconvenience or confusion this has caused.

5/30 UPDATE:

We recently learned that HTC devices have been released by U.S. Customs. We expect shipments of HTC EVO 4G LTE to enter the U.S. in the next few days.  An exact availability date for HTC EVO 4G LTE will be communicated as soon as possible.

5/21 UPDATE:

Customers who pre-ordered HTC EVO 4G LTE…Your wait is almost over! Sprint expects to begin shipping HTC EVO 4G LTE for arrival on or around Thursday, May 24 to customers who pre-ordered the device online from Sprint. We will provide details on the full national launch as soon as possible. To check the status of your pre-order, please visit www.sprint.com/myorder.

Since shipping is in process, we can no longer accept cancellations as noted in the 5/18 update above.

Evooo: I have a hunch that they are 2nd-daying it for those closer to the warehouse.. and overnighting to those that are much further away. Just my guess. Either way, what's another day? Mine says 2nd day but is scheduled for delivery tomorrow.

on UPS mobile app it shows my delivery date as 5//25/2012

It seems that EVERYONE is being told something DIFFERENT in terms of the phone's arrival... For instance, this is what I get when I check "my order" status:

"We will do our best to get it to you by Thursday, May 24."

In the wonderful world of retail, BY means on or before the stated date.  Now, I'm not making a stink about it-- it's just that I've been in customer service for many years.  You don't win friends and influence people by stating something that you can't deliver... especially to those of us who don't have a phone that works properly, if you know what I'm sayin'...I can live with a one-day delay THIS time around.  I just hafta put my two cents in by saying that Sprint's communication has been severly lacking to nonexistent.  If it weren't for their in-house "mole", I'd know nothing until my doorbell was rung by a person asking 'what brown can do for me'...

Order Processed: Ready for UPS

A UPS shipping label has been created. Once the shipment arrives at our facility, the tracking status--including the scheduled delivery date--will be updated.

So, yeah, just the waiting game now.

to the left of the screen itc'll show shippinh method. also if u use the mobile app and will tell you ur eta. keep in min that delivery updates when ups actually pics up the item and scans it. that's when you'll get accurate info

Well checked my status on UPS using my Sprint account number and see my shipping label has been created and I see it will be going UPS 2nd Day Air, but I had hoped I'd have it before going out of town this weekend

I guess I'll have to monitor it and change delivery if it looks like it will be too late on Friay.  Sprint should have used overnight delivery on these preorders.

Same here.  No email, no tracking number, just says a label has been created.  Guess I will wait until the end of the day to see what happens.

I did order it within the first minute it became available on the website too.

I ordered mine the first day of the pre-order in the morning and I have not gotten an email nor do I have a tracking number. What the heck?

2nd Day Air should arrive tomorrow. Today is day one, and tomorrow is the 2nd day.
