GMAIL / GTalk Fails on 3g After being on WiFi

As of the last update from Sprint I have two Evo's that are doing the exact same thing.

If I am on wireless and switch to 3g (I leave my house... etc.) I do not get my emails updating automatically and I am unable to sign into GTalk. I can open GMail and manually refresh but that is the only way its updating when I am not on WiFi. This was NOT an issue for me prior to this update. Other services such as facebook and the Android Market work fine. This interruption to E-mail is causing me a delay that my customers do not like.

Also,

If I boot the phone with wireless disabled or where there is no wireless I have zero issues, until I connect and disconnect from a wireless point.

I am going to attempt to logcat what happens differently when I sign in after first boot vs wireless and I'll post that back here. I'll probably link this over to XDA as well.

Re: GMAIL / GTalk Fails on 3g After being on WiFi

Similar problem however my issue is when the phone is:

a. On 4G

or

b. I have 4G enabled -- whether it's on 4G or not -- and the phone displays 3G

Solution so far has been:

1. Turn on WiFi

2. Turn off 4G

I would be interested in the solution to this problem as well
