I am unable to initiate a call with my hands-free device on my HTC EVO. If I am not the only person affected, is there going to be a fix for this? I believe it's dangerous because many users will be driving and initiating calls at the same time, and this will distract drivers.
Correct - the Google provided Android OS does not support hands-free dialing yet.
I've read news that the new 2.2 version will support this, and Sprint has committed to deliver the 2.2 upgrade to the Evo.
When is Sprint going to have this upgrade to FROYO ready? Google released it late in May. With the new laws in place to restrict "hands on" usage on the phone while driving, the needs for hands free calling is critical.
