Everything I have read says the manual download will be available on 8/3.
@173054i, please refer to the official announcement for dates and details regarding availability of the update.
Leaked presentations don't constitute a formal announcement.
The 7/30 date mentioned on our support site refers to the date the article was published/update announced.
This link has the release date of 7/30!
@Lothian119 That's the date for the AUTOMATIC push. The MANUAL download date was stated here:
But knowing well that Sprint can choose to change a CONFIDENTIAL date at their will, that probably explains why the 7/30 noon CST deadline has passed and we don't have Froyo on manual download yet.
Supposedly 8/1 now... we'll see.

Sprint has posted on Facebook that it will be available for manual download this weekend (8/1). Endgadget is NOT Sprint.
Yeah, I saw that already which is why I posted it's supposedly 8/1 now. And Engadget posted a Sprint internal memo.
It looks like some people are able to get the update already:
I tried and cannot but that is fine, I can wait a few more days.
Yeah, it seems the original memo was talking about a limited group instead of giving us all the option. It's better this way so we don't have a situation like the last OTA, where some of the phones bricked from updating twice.
The update floating around is not the final.
"Please be aware any update.zip floating around for EVO are not final and may cause problems. Official updates are coming OTA next week!"
