Why won't my phone charge after it's completely discharged?

This is the second time my phone will not charge (not even an indicator light) after the battery has been drained. Has anyone else had this experience and offer a solution?

Re: Why won't my phone charge after it's completely discharged?

That is unfortunate. It's not a good idea to allow a Lithium Battery to fully deplete. Lithium batteries do not have the dreaded "memory effect" from the older recahrgable batteries like nickel cadium and nickel metal-hydride where it was better to fully deplete the battery before charging. Have you tried plugging it in for an hour or so, even though nothing happens at first? Aslo, if you have Sprint's Total Equipment Protection, TEP, then your' phone is fully covered at a Sprint Service and Repair location. If you don't have TEP, we only charge $35 to have it checked and repaired/replaced.

Hope this helps.
