Petnard1: The information I found Indicated that a software update for swype on the EVO will not happen. Only the Beta version (which would have to be downloaded from a 3rd party) has options to update. Versions that are preloaded on devices are not able to be upgraded. I located this information through a google search and located this link http://forum.swype.com/showthread.php?3226-How-to-update-w-preloaded-swype-(evo) . Hope this helps!
Probably won't happen unless we see an update to ICS.
