Besides selfies, there is another camera capability that is becoming more and more important in the social sharing community. GIFs. There is some debate on how to pronounce the word, (some say it with a soft "G" like in "George" and some with a hard "G" like in "Gary." Despite your preference for phonetics, the ability to create a GIF on your mobile phone might be something you'd like to know how to do. Fear not noobs, your HTC One E8 has you covered.
For starters, what is a GIF?
Its actually an acronymn that stands for "Graphics Interchange Format." If you've ever seen a looping 1-3 second video on the interwebs, chances are it was a GIF in action.
Now that you're a GIF lover like me, lets explore how to make your own on the fantastic HTC One E8!!! There are just a few steps, but there is NO additional software needed.
Open the camera app.
Make sure Auto scene is selected.
Press and hold the (on screen) capture button.
This will take continuous shots for however long you hold the button up to 20 shots. After you release the capture button, you can choose to select the best photo or keep them all. For our purposes, you'll want to keep them all by pressing the back button. Now on to the Gallery!
Open the gallery app
Open the newly saved batch of photos
click the edit button
Trim your GIF
Click next and choose things like speed, direction, and frames
Click the check mark to save and of course SHARE SHARE SHARE!
You are now a master creator of GIFs with your HTC One E8! Enjoy!
