Had my cell since Thursday I have had one day of good service. Since I have had phone I have never received a call. Text take nearly 8 hours to get to anyone. When I am on the move it seems to work better after a while. I have tried updating profile and PRL. Did factory reset Multiple times but issue is not resolved. Making call either doesn't work or drops.
KDL2000 How disappointing! I'm sorry to read about the trouble you had with your new phone. Were you able to get it either fixed or exchanged at the store? Please let us know if we can help in any way.

when to store i bought it so far i can receive test and they test if i could receive a call it worked while in store. Left store ask friend to call me it worked for about one hour. Then tested it 10 times only once did a call show up. The only good thing is my vmail shows up fast and i now receive text better but receive calls is still an issue. People have told me the phone rings but i only receive voice mails.
This will be good news for some and bad news for others. It's not your phone that's messed up(Good news) it's sprints network(bad news). Their network couldn't handle all of the provisioning commands for the M8 and S5 that went through in the same week. So it killed the Network. BUT mainly just those areas that have Spark availble because Spark wasn't properly tested before it was released. Sprint never fully tests product/services before the put them out just so they can be the one to say we had it first.(just like they did with there version of 4G(wimax) yeah they had it first but when everyone else started their 4G(LTE) the speeds were 3-5 times faster an more consistant than Wimax and of course Sprint had to play catch up.
And now due to the "Spark Network" those of us with a M8 or S5 are S.O.L. until this gets resolved. I've had my M8 for 6 days and couldn't make or receive calls for 3 days and since then I can make a call but any and every call that last longer than 1 minute gets dropped. and internet HA! no facebooking for me unless it's on a wifi signal. The only way to get around this is to get a phone other than an M8 or S5.(although there are several other phones on Spark they work a little better because they were provisioned weeks and even months ago).
Now some M8s and S5s may be working because their provisioning commands made it through before everything went crazy but there are 100 of thousands of phones that did not.And this is only happening on Sprints network, other carries phones are working as designed.
For the recotd I'm not hating on Sprint I have had them for 15 years, I just wanted to let you all know what's going on.
Just read a article that said sprint or t mobile will be gone in 3 years? I hope sprint get it's act together. they have money and spectrum. They need to speed money on lobbyist like ATt and Verizon do to get there permits to fix or move or replace towers. the other 2 have the FCC in there pocket! Sprint spend that money on lobbyists! lol its all about who you can buy off. It called capitalism !!
Now after visting the sprint store i bought the phone from notice i only recieve calls when in the Sprint store. When i am out a barely get any calls on the phone. I tried prl update and profile upade and as well as ##72786#. The only thing that changed is i have been Sprint spark service. Recieve calls never happens when i am at home or at work. Called sprint several times they refresh my phone several times where i can make a call but still cant recieve calls. Today called sprint store and they are now trying to refresh my phone again. So sprint reps on the phone saying its the phone but Sprint rep at store saying its the network yet both areas i work and live have sprint spare upgrade an all.
KDL2000, I'd like us to look into the way the phone it set up in our systems. If you previously had pretty good service with another device in the same area, I find it hard to believe it's the network. There can be an issue if the UICC number on the phone doesn't match the one we have in our system and that could possibly be what's causing your issue. We can look into it for you if you send us a Private Message to SprintCare with your phone number, security information and a link to this thread. My team and I generally respond to PMs within 24 - 48 hours.
