If you are going to order this phone sight unseen, you should be prepared... the lg_g_stylo is a doozy. The majority of the handsets I've used over the past few months have been in the 5" range, which seems miniscule compared to this behemoth.
My initial reaction - right out of the box - is that the Stylo is not a phone. 5.7" is a phablet, no doubt about it. Even the way that the screen is laid out to add widgets and shortcuts (it's a 5x5 grid, not the usual 4x4 layout on standard Android devices) indicates to me that this is LG's push in to the phablet space, only at a much more affordable price point.
As a 2nd screen, I think it works perfectly. It's big enough to use as a travel screen for backseat or shotgun movie viewing, but also compact enough to use as a daily driver mobile phone.
HOWEVER... in my mind, it's not a phone. It's a phablet
If you are looking for something a little bigger than your typical flagship device, but without the flagship price, the LG G Stylo fits the bill. It's reasonably priced, and even though the hardware and performance specs are about 1/2 to 1 generation behind what flagship handsets are using now, it still performs REALLY well.
AND... the screen is monstrous.
