Security is getting more and more essential and critical these days especially due to our use of technology. Our smartphones are filled with personal data that could really hurt us if misused personally, socially, professionaly and financially. So it is no surprise that every smartphone OS comes built in with a choice of security features such as PIN, Pattern, Password, fingerprint or facial recognition to secure your data. However, there has not been much innovation beyond the usual options, not that any of them are bad.
LG decided to offer another option, that is out of the box so to speak. Just like with the G2, where they introduced buttons on the back and double tap to wake or "knock" the screen to wake up the phone, they enhanced on these principals to give users another choice. As the knock feature was getting good praise by the user community, they decided to offer a code or pattern like ability to use it to unlock your device.
