Sprint LG G5 Can't add app to main home screen

All of a sudden I can not add an app to an open spot on the main home screen. I can add any app to the second, third or forth home screens but not the main one.

If I turn off the app drawer function, I can place apps anywhere, main or other home screens.

If I then go back to the App Drawer, any new app I added to the main home screen disappears.
