I have an Optimus S, just over 1 year old, and a new 2012 Volkswagen GLI (super Jetta). The phone connects to the car's bluetooth with no problem, HOWEVER, the phone book does not load. I can't see any contacts and unable to see recent/missed calls.
The dealer was unable to help; I was able to connect to and see his EVO phonebook. I've moved the contacts list to the external storage but that didn't do anything, made the phone discoverable, restart, etc. all to no avail.
Is there a setting I'm overlooking?
kadkad111 Please make sure your software is up to date to do so from your home screen tap your menu key then select settings from settings go to the bottom and you will see about phone from there select systems updates and follow the prompts. If there are any updates available download them to your phone. Let me know if this works.
I would suggest you to visit this URL Site and complete step by step instruction http://my.vw.com/2012-jetta/technology/bluetooth. Also on the Volkswagen bluetooth compatibility list I don't see LG Optimus as one of the compatible phones.

Hope this helps
Did that too, several times, and no change. I'm guessing the Optimus isn't supported yet, even though it's been out for almost 2 years. Thanks for the help.
kadkad111- LG Optimus is not a compatible phone with Volkswagen for bluetooth features.Visit this compatibility list http://web.vw.com/global/blogs/speakingvw/bluetooth.php?model
