My teenage daughter tried to add a password to her phone so that nobody could access it. Apparently she has forgotten it or misspelled the initial password. Now she can't access it. Is there any way to get around the password feature?
If it is a phone password there is not a way to circumvent that. She will have to do a hard reset and all information on the device will be lost. the media card will store her pics and any music. After the hard reset she will need to sign in to her Gmail account to retrieve her contacts. It is important when adding contacts to the device to select Google as the contact type so it is backed up in their cloud for safety. Below are the steps for a hard reset -
Turn the power off. Pull the battery out and reinsert it
Hold the Home and Volume Down button
Press and hold the Power button until the device turns on
Follow the on-screen instructions to reset your device
