Since this AM, my phone has been all messed up. I keep getting the same text messages from friends 12-15 times. My clock keeps jumping back and forth an hour. I've tried turning the phone off and pulling the battery but nothing has worked. Anyone have any suggestions? HELP, THIS IS GETTING IRRITATING!!!!!
SAME exact thing happening to my Samsung Intercept.
REALLY, really annoying...
I only receive texts from other Sprint users. Anyone else shows up as a duplicate text from a friend.
Same thing here. To me & my son. I have the Transform and he has the Seek.
It started yesterday and we are still getting the same text message over & over. Not getting any text messages from my friends who have Verizon.
My husband & other son aren't having any problems.
Do you have an Airrave antenna by any chance? We do and I'm wondering iof that could be a problem.
I have an EVO as well and have had no issues. I am curious if this may be a softare issue since it is affecting various types of phones. I would personally try to do a manual update from Settings and if that does not fix it call tech support or go to a repair center. Not sure really what could have caused it but hopefully this helps.
I fixed my problem.
You may not believe it, but I fixed it by logging in to "My Account" on Sprint.com, clicking "Manage Airave" and blocking my own number on the airave.
About two or three minutes later, all the text messages came flooding in.
We do have an airrave and I noticed I didn't have the issue when I left my house yesterday, clock worked fine and all text messages came through only once. When I got home, the time got all messed up again. Maybe I'll try resetting the airrave tonight and see if that helps. Funny thing is, my wifes phone (Pre) and home phone (centro) didn't have any issues?? Hopefully this will fix it, thanks for the feedback!
It definitely appears the airave was the issue lol. I like seeing issues figured out just between a few people in a forum like this. NO TECHNICAL SUPPORT NEEDED!!!
Actually, it stopped working.
Called the AIRAVE specialists, apparently it's an airave wide issue and there's nothing to be done about it except that they're trying to fix it.
Here's to about four more hours of getting "I don't know what to say. Help me." over and over and over again. -__-
Everything was fine while I was at work today, then I got home and the clock started flipping back an hour again. I unplugged for 10 minutes and reset...clock is fine now but I still keep getting multiple duplicate pages. Hope they can get this fixed soon!!!!!!!!!
The reason is because the airwave is the problem... im afraid the only way to stop the duplicate text issues is by leaving the airwave unplugged.
I called tech support and they did confirm this .
Im happy that my evo has a strong signal strength and that i can use the phone without the airwave .. thou i cant walk around much while on the phone .. or call will drop .
The phone i had before wouldnt even let me hold a call or connect to the Internet .
My internet service is very slow , but can deal with that. Thats much better than not getting any messages from some people and repeated from others .
