Re: My email server is blocked by sprintpcs.com

Well, apparently neutral is good enough.  It just started working after I made the upset post last night.

It must have taken 2 days for the whitelisting to take effect.

Anyway, thanks for helping.

Do we have to re-whitelist ourselves every year or so?  Anything special we need to do to stay on top of this?

Thanks,

-Wes

Re: My email server is blocked by sprintpcs.com

Will,

Thanks for your reply.

I think we're having a communication issue betwen you and I, though.

Our score is neutral.   Is this not OK?  Does Sprint block people who have a neutral score with senderbase?

If so, then we definitely need to work with senderbase.

But I don't know why that would be the case.

I understand that Sprint can't control the senderbase reputation, but Sprint can control what it does with that reputation.

So, does Sprint block you for having a neutral score, or just negative?

How can we find this out?

Literally, the only email we send is to our Sprint phones.  It's been fine for 6 years (except for 1 month last June)

...and we've supposedly been whitelisted.

Re: My email server is blocked by sprintpcs.com

Our spam filters use the Senderbase reputation scores to auto block, filter or whitelist domains and IP’s.  We have zero control over the Senderbase score. The score is assigned by Senderbase based on email trends from individual IP’s.

You can check your mailserver reputation at http://www.senderbase.org/

Again, Senderbase assigns the score….not Sprint.  We do not have a way to change the Senderbase repuatation score.  You will need to work with Senderbase to remediate the issue.

Thank you,

Will

Re: My email server is blocked by sprintpcs.com

We have not been able to send from our server for SEVEN WEEKS now.

We have a neutral senderbase score, and they have supposedly (finally) whitelisted us (again) as of 2 days ago.  We also dealt with this problem last June (2009), and it took over a month to resolve.  We send about 100 texts a day, almost all to OUR OWN Sprint phones.

We are STILL unable to send to number@messaging.sprintpcs.com from our server.

We can send to Verizon, AT$T, T-Mobile, etc.... just not any Sprint or BoostMobile number.

Why are we not allowed to speak to a live person who has the authority to fix this issue?

Why do we have to wait weeks and weeks to get anything done about this?

I pay $300/month to Sprint for phones that I use exclusively to dispatch our orders to.  We're fast approaching our busy season (next week).

Who can fix this?

Thanks,

-Wes

Re: My email server is blocked by sprintpcs.com

We are getting the same problem. lcsods1.linnsheriff.org 65.117.204.10. I checked senderbase.org and we have a good reputation. I checked the scoring site mentioned in another thread and we are low risk. I called customer service who would only promise a callback. I tried asking for a CTMS(Clarity) ticket for BMG (Messaging Group) and he wouldn't place it. Also I asked for the Service Management team and he wouldn't transfer me there. I was only promised a callback after someone did some resarch.

Also, I couldn't register for this forum under my work email because that bounces off of our server too when your server sends the activation link. I used my personal email and it worked fine.

Can someone give me a better number to contact?

Thank you,

Cary

I checked all three of our IPs and we have a "good" e-mail reputation on all three on SenderBase.

As I mentioned before, I actually tried calling that customer service number and got transfered around to six different people because no one was able to help me. I finally got someone's voicemail and he never returned my call. This is why I'm requesting a specific contact that I can speak with about this issue. This has been extremely frustrating. I'd really appreciate some assistance with this matter.

There is no direct contact.  Ask them to open a CTMS (Clarity) ticket for the BMG (Messaging Group).  That should do the trick.

What does Senderbase report for your mail server?

To have us officially look into SMTP SMS delivery/spam filtering/rate limiting/throttling issues you can simply call our Care department (numbers listed on http://www.sprint.com/contactus/ )

They'll be able to have a ticket dispatched to the mail administrator team.

I also forgot to add that sprint.pcs is currently the only ISP blocking us right now, indicating it is not a problem with our domain.
