I got an R850 through The Calyx Institute and it activated and worked fine on setup. We set it up at our AirBNB and everything seemed fine.
Earlier today the current guest (first since we've had it) told us the internet wasn't working. We went over and could connect to the R850's wifi network, but it reported no internet. I power cycled the device (held the main button down for 2 seconds, on the display it said "GOODBYE", then held the main button down again for 2 seconds and it came back).
After the power cycle the internet worked fine and we left. We went back after 3 hours and it was the exact same thing - wifi worked but no Internet. I power cycled it again and the Internet worked again afterwards.
We can't ask guests to continually power cycle the device. Any ideas what the problem could be?
We have the same problem, ordering ours from Sprint directly. It worked great for a few months. Now that it turned cold, so has this device. Is there a firmware update somewhere for it?
Hey guys, can you please try doing a reset of the network settings? Follow the steps below:
Note: If prompted, enter the administrator password and click Login.
The default password is password.
If the administrator password has been changed, from the home screen of the hotspot, press the Power key on the hotspot 4 times to display the current Admin Password.
Click Mobile Network, then click Advanced.
Click Renew Device.
The device will restart and automatically perform Hands Free Activation.
The mobile network settings have been reset.
Note: If needed, click OK.
