Where can I purchase one of these Sprint broadband SIM Cards (separately, just the SIM card)?
I have a Lenovo laptop that has the ability to accept SIM cards, which I purchased about three months ago.
This press release below came out this week.
Lenovo and Sprint Add 3G and 4G Mobile Broadband Connectivity to ThinkPad Laptops
RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC – March 24, 2010: Lenovo (HKSE: 992) (ADR: LNVGY) and Sprint (NYSE: S) today announced support for Sprint 3G and 4G wireless connectivity in the U.S. across Lenovo’s line of ThinkPad laptops. All of Lenovo’s ThinkPad laptop models are 3G-enabled, and Lenovo offers the largest selection of 4G-enabled laptop models, including the recently introduced ThinkPad Edge laptops built for small to medium businesses.
Sprint doesn't use SIM cards. From the article you posted it sounds like your laptop is ready to connect to our network. We just need to activate the ESN from the embedded connection card.
Please PM me your name and a number I can call you at and we'll get this setup for you.
I do not have the model laptop referenced in that article. I think the only way to do this is to get a broadband mini pci-express card (with a SIM?). That means I have to remove my WIFI wireless card. I am just going to have to stick with a USB broadband card.
