Make sure you run the firmware updates for it. There have been improvements but there's still a lot of work to do.
I'd also recommend emailing email@example.com if you're not getting any resolution from tech support in the stores or on the phone.
I have experienced many problems. The first of which is that the battery drops to close to zero when tethered via USB to my computer and I shut the computer down. Secondly when I power the device via outlet and use it as a hot spot for WIFI I frequently loose my connection to the internet and also get low or poor connectivity messages with the 'over-drive'. My WIFI adapter and Hot Spot are within 1-2 feet of each other. I have even tried separating them at various distances and other rooms.
I have worked with Advanced Tech Support on at least four occassions and have yet to solve my problems. I am ready to return to my Aircard 595U.
THe Over-Drive is proving to be practically USELESS and UNRELIABLE!
My hotspot will not let me in the administrator spot it tells me wrong password, I also can not reset it with the reset button, So the hotspot will only work when pluged into my usb. I took it to sprint and they said the reset button was broken after the tech tried to reset it for a half hour... So what can I do now?
Of late my Overdrive has been working very well. I recently deleted the Smartdrive program as it was conflicting with Netgear and having a hard time connecting to the Overdrive. The only problem remaining is that the download speeds are not what I would expect from 3G. I think the towers are overloaded and need upgrading to handle the increased usage, especially between 4-5 PM.
Compared to what I had before the Overdrive, now that my connection problems have been solved, is a big improvement.
I have encountered issues after a period of use. I believe the device got an over the air update that has caused software issues. Where I did stay connected constantly when I opened my laptop, now I must log on each time. More recently I am dropped for no reason while working online. My husband and I have business use over this hot spot and it is a constant re-education process. When working it is a quality connection, but the service is lacking currently.
