Question about Nextel phones

Motorola phones on the sprint website say they are nextel phones.  Do these phones work with a Sprint plan?  Are they interchangeable?

Question about Nextel phones

The Motorola ES400S is a CDMA phone that works on the Sprint network. Here is the data on it:http://shop.sprint.com/mysprint/shop/phone_details.jsp?prodId=dvc2260006prd&deviceSKUId=22400032&flo... . This is the only model currently on our website used on the CDMA network for Motorola.

HMBROWN52,

Thanks for the post! Nextel devices (devices with direct connect) will work on our Sprint plans as Sprint and Nextel are one company. The only thing that differs are the networks used. Nextel uses the iDEN network which allows convenient push to talk while Sprint uses the CDMA network. To view coverage on nextel please visit www.sprint.com/coverage.

Also keep in mind if you wanted the Direct Connect (push to talk feature) on a Nextel device, there is a $5.00 monthly fee. Let me know if that helps.
