Sprint Policy for unlocking Photon 4G US GSM after when contract period ends

What's Sprint's policy for unlocking the GSM/3G for US use on a non-Sprint GSM carrier on the Motorola Photon 4G after the contract period ends?

I know that the GSM is already unlocked for overseas (non-US) use.

According to the specs, the Photon supports all the GSM (850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900) and 3G (850 / 1900 / 2100) bands.

Also, update for any Sprint customer who has already tried to or was successful in getting the Photon unlocked by Sprint would be much appreciated.

If you're referring to unlocking for domestic GSM use (ATT or TMO) Sprint won't do it.  It's not in their best interest to do so.  However, you don't need Sprint nor do you have to wait until you're out of contract to enable such use.  See, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1664212.
