Woke up this morning to our three Sprint phones having ZERO bars....no roaming either. Can't call customer service, can't receive any data, can't send text messages, and we have NO LANDLINE. What is the issue????? We have a Motorola Photon and Samsung Epic Touch 4G on this plan and an LG bar phone on another...we get a red 'x' as is NO SERVICE AT ALL...the Photon did cycle the bars once or twice, going from no service, to full 3G bars, down to 1, and finally zero with red x for the last hour.
I am seeing a couple of tower outages in your calling market. Technicians are working hard to get this issues resolved as soon as possible. Cell Site is being upgraded to Network Vision. Temporary impairments causing increased Drops and Blocks may occur, in addition to instances of missed calls/calls rolling to voicemail, and other voice service anomalies. Upgrade should be complete soon and service should be improved.
I can understand this is frustrating for you and we are aware of this issue. I can assure you we are working to not only fix it, but improve your overall customer experience in the area. I will report this issue to our network team.
As you can imagine, it is VERY frustrating and bad for business when customers and family cannot contact us. It is also frustrating when a Sprint Rep tells me I have to replace the GPS antenna on my airwave at at Radio Shack store and the salesperson there is the one who tells me that Sprint has tower issues!!!! This has been going on since Thursday. We appreciate all the had work going on behind the scenes, but so far no timeframe for resolution is provided. Will we get a discount or credit on our phone bills for this? Or are we in the stage where the service contract does not require the service provider to actually provide service? I had this problem with AT$T and was really hoping not to have it start again with Sprint. The increase in cell usage during the Summer months should not be any great surprise for Sprint or any other carrier at Myrtel Beach or any other tourist area. It's called PLANNING. I may be forced to get a land line just to be able to call 911 in the event of an emergency in my apartment.
