Back in August, this area was subject to constant network issues (not being able to make calls, texts not sending or arriving, phone not ringing but voicemails showing up hours later) and after much frustration, it was divulged that it was all due to tower upgrades.
Fast forward to now....I upgrade to an iPhone 4S from my EVO. And what happens? Now it's WORSE! The iPhone constantly switches from 3G to O on the phone...meaning calls don't come in, texts don't send and the phone basically becomes a very expensive paperweight. Data speeds are HORRID. Although, oddly enough, I can be standing right next to someone with a Blackberry or an EVO and they're phones work just fine. Go to another city (Lubbock or Midland/Odessa) and the phone works great.
I've been a customer with Sprint for 12 years and in all that time, I've never gotten as much of a runaround from their Customer Service as I have in the past 6 months. No one can answer my questions, or just tell me there's a problem they're looking into. And yet, I'm supposed to believe that the contract I sign for service is actually being upheld?
It's time for answers Sprint. If you can't adequately service smalltown America, then just tell all of us and let us out of our contract to go somewhere else.
Currently there is a tower that is a problem with have had multiple outages on it in the last 90 days. Currently there is an open ticket on it

we are working to get this outage repaired.
Yes there are problems with the area - Tickets are being worked and we know this issue exists. I understand it has gone on too long but assure you according to what I see this will be resolved soon

Not to play devil's advocate, but this is EXACTLY what I was told before....there's a problem, but no one knows how to fix it or how long it will be. The last I heard, the upgrades were supposed to be complete by the end of November. But again, I had to be the one to initiate the discussion. If there's an ongoing issue, at least let the people know so they don't get pissed off and think the service is crap.
I was told today that I was the first to report this issue...wrong I was not the first (LIE) strike 1. Facebook is lighting up with comments like.."We have a business with lots of people who have sprint cell phones, at the end of next month we are canceling with Sprint." also many people are very up set, I could understand if this was for a short time like a couple of weeks but months...and then I pay $200.00 a month and I am not getting good service..strike 2 (not up holding service) Its not like I use my phone for personal all the time or play games I use it for business also. If its not fixed by the time my contract is up...Im done, over 10 years..really
