Re: Lte speed test results?

Not all towers are LTE yet. This one must be still old 3G.

Re: Lte speed test results?

negative, this as well as the one near my house are showing as active online LTE sites. The manager at the Sprint store is also working on figuring out whats going on. The tower near her loacation should be up too and she has no LTE and her 3G service is slim to none

Re: Lte speed test results?

do you have a link that shows which towers are active and which arent yet? if youre going by the sprint site map then that is slightly off..(this might not be your case) but most people have to remember that they only kicked on roughly 40% in each market...and some markets are large enough to contain a couple cities...so break that down and that LTE is going to be REALLY wide spread/hit and miss.

Re: Lte speed test results?

Fireguy, no i dont. I was relying on Sprint Customer Care supervisor's information. He stated that the live tower info was not available to the public. So far I believe thats true BUT i also know he as well as a few other Sprint Customer Care reps are clueless. I had a PM on here from someone who clearly knows more than Sprint reps do... he sent me to what he said was a live tower... boy was it!!! fast fast holy cow fast! The sad thing is that its the shortest tower ive ever seen! Might be 50 feet max!

Re: Lte speed test results?

My HTC EVO 4G LTE got a blip north of Atlanta on I85 about mile marker 126.  Nothing since then in downtown Atlanta from I285 to downtown on I85.  Rumors of successful launch seem greatly exaggerated.

Re: Lte speed test results?

yah you also have to remember that the guys going out and working on the towers are swinging into the stores and announcing what theyre doing on which tower...for the most part the info they have is only rumored....heck..last time i stopped in one of my local sprint stores the guy told me 4G was currently being put in...wimax...not LTE...i just turned around and went to my usual sprint store.

must be nice! I live 400 yrds from an LTE tower and my office is 1.3 miles from a tower. Both of which are said to be active with no fail reports. Re: Lte speed test results?

Yep! I spoke to a field tech the other day out here and confirmed that sprints cust care are pretty clueless. He showed me where a tower was a little further down the road so i coule test the service. Pretty kick ass at 34mb down and 24 up. I still dont know why they upgraded that particular tower first. its VERY short with apartments near by that are taller than it is. lte signal was gone less than a mile away

Re: Lte speed test results?

i wonder if they are fixing the worst towers first or vice versa? or some other way to chose which get worked on first.

i had another thread i was going to post of screen shots of LTE speeds from a good handful of people..unfortunatley i think the OP marked his thread as answered and it was deleted.. for the life of me i cant find it anywhere..the average was 20-30mbps down and 10-15mbps up...im guessing the speeds you picked up will settle down a bit once more people are on them.

the new towers are pretty sweet though..before if there was an issue with the tower sprint pretty much had to wair until a report came to them saying there was an actual issue...with the new set up they can pull up any tower and look at a live feed..HUGE compared to the old style.

for those that are getting LTE or hit and miss LTE...do a screen shot of your test and post them..it deters those that will argue that youre not getting it...that youre a troll...or that you work for sprint and its all lies lol

"You got to love it, thank you Sprint for all the drop calls and try again text messages"

Re: Lte speed test results?

Yesterday morning I was able to get LTE for the 1st time longer than 2 or 3 minutes.  Actually had it about 10 minutes before it reverted back to 3G.  But did have it long enough to do several speed tests between 4g and my wireless.
