But in the case of Montana, this would involve ADDING cell sites, not upgrading them. When I visit Montana I am roaming when I have voice and never have 3G since Sprint lost their contract with AllTel. So is Network Vision going to ADD cell sites to states where they didn't have any, not just upgade existing ones?
Sprint cannot cover Montana, they sold their PCS spectrum licenses to AT&T (which bought Alltel here), who is using them to provide additional channels of UMTS service. Sprint now roams on Verizon, but does not allow 3G roaming anymore. Nextel has native service in a small portion of Kalispell, meant for specific employees years ago. I imagine this will simply be shut down.
