Service outage in Bradenton/ Sarasota area?

Is anyone else having service troubles in the Sarasota/ Bradenton area of FL?  I haven't been able to send or receive calls or text messages since 7:30am.  Spent 2 hours on the phone or chatting online with Sprint and all I got was that there is a tower out in the 34233 zip code of Sarasota.  Still unsure how that affects where I live in Bradetnon.

I am at the corner of Bee Ridge and Sawyer in Sarasota currently.  Earlier this morning,  it was 30th Avenue Dr East and 34th Avenue East in Bradenton.

The tower that is serving your current location has an open ticket  and is being worked on

The 30th ave dr and 34ath ave is a different tower  and that one currently shows to be performing correctly

Is there a way to switch to a different tower?  Or am I without service to my phone for the 13 hours I will be at work today?

We are working at restoring service the Estimate Time of Repair is 12/27/2011 22:03:37 CST   Unfortunately there is no way to  force another tower.   There may be service sooner than the ETR or other towers may be tasked with the area.   I can not say for sure you will get service at this time

Yes haven't had service since yesterday.  My wife however said when she went to work her phone worked when she was in her car driving south.  But when she got home same thing ...........No service!!

Is the tower still down?  The ETR was 12/27/2011 and I still have no service.  Is there an update on the towers status?

Phone got wet yesterday morn...Looks like it should be working fine but ironically happened same time. I was having troubles right before water incident. Pone looks like perfect working order.Just saw this post after ordering another phone through Asurion.100$!!!! I am going to be pretty disgruntled if was not actually my phone that had the problem!!
