Huh? The Denver metro area already has 4g. You can pick it up as far east a Aurora, West as Lakewood, North as Ft Collins, and south Littleton. Thats a big piece of 4g. It hasn't come to Colorado Springs / Pueblo yet, but it should sometime in the next decade.
4G is not yet available in Colorado; Denver should be the first city to get it. You can sign up to be notified at http://sprint.p.delivery.net/m/p/nxt/4G/PreReg.asp?ECID=vanity:signup4g.
Okay, 4g isn't official, but is active.
Here's a map of 4g coverage as told by timewarner, which seems to be more accurate than any other maps out there. Timewarner, Comcast, Sprint, and a few others all run off the same 4g network offered by Clear. I dont know why it takes Clear and Sprint so dam long to update their coverage map seeing as the Denver metro area has been in the 4g for 3 months now. Another thing to note is the lack of building and terrain penetration due to towers being too far apart and the 2.5 Ghz band being used (very spotty coverage).
Once Verizon's LTE hits, Sprint's 4g coverage will look like a block of Swiss Cheese.
I wish Sprint Admin Folk would keep up wit ther fakts

Can't know everything but I did talk to some folks working on the sprint.com coverage maps and who have those insights. Obviously, Clearwire has launched markets before Sprint has in the past; official Sprint announcement is slated for 12/7.
Sweet, now I need to get my hands on another 4g phone. I was at the Sprint store off of southgate a couple weeks ago and I wasn't able to connect to 4g. The sprint rep I spoke with said it would be coming by the end of next year, which is obviously accurate information (sarcasm).
I've been goofing around with my Samsung Epic and found this app called Sensorly on the Android market. So far it has come in handy and the information is fairly accurate. There are parts in the springs that does have the 4G network enabled. Every time I go downtown and enabled my 4G I'm usually connected with in seconds. I've uploaded a picture, anything in green is 4G!
**Updated 8/22/2011 4G Status
Figure I'd post new screenshots of the added 4G coverage.
Nice to see that they are working quickly on expanding!

Thanks for posting this! I just installed the app myself. :-) I moved this thread to the Network and Coverage forum, so hopefully more people looking for 4G info will stumble across this information.
