Constantly Bad Service

I’ve had Sprint for years (in the DeRidder/Lake Charles, Louisiana area) and it’s always been great, but fornthe last few months it’s almost been unusable. More times that not nothing wants to connect despite my phone saying I have 3-4 bars of LTE. I have to go into airplane mode for a few seconds, then switch it off for my phone to reconnect and work again, but that only seems to last for 20 minutes or so before I have to do it again.

 

I love that Sprint gave me 50gb of hotspot and free Hulu, but what’s the point when the network is so bad that I can’t even enjoy them?

I have, Ive contacted Sprint a few times about it and get the polite but generic “I’m sorry that’s happening, I understand how frustrating that can be” response before they check to see if any towers are down, which they never are. They’ve given me a code to type in on my phone’s number pad to update it or something, but the problem still persists.

 

Dozens of times a day, I will have no internet despite my phone saying I have bars of LTE, and will have to go into airplane mode for a few seconds, then switch it off to make the phone reconnect with the towers. It’s beyond frustrating.

An iPhone 7 Plus. It’s running the latest software as well.

I would like for you to go through all of the basic troubleshooting for me. 

  1. Update Data Profile.

    1. Tap Phone.

    2. Dial ##873283# then tap Call.

    3. When Starting Service Update displays, tap OK.

    4. When Service Update Completed displays, tap OK.

  2. Reset the network settings.

    • Resetting the network settings reconnects the phone to the Sprint network and does not erase any content or data.

      1. From the Home screen, tap Phone.

      2. Dial ##25327# then tap Call.

      3. When Resetting Subscriber Settings displays, tap OK.

      4. When iPhone is activated displays, tap OK.
