Can you screenshot the screens as you work on the steps for data profile update. You need to update the data profile first. Are you missing that option on both phones?
So I reset the PLR and the did *#72786#*#*, without the * it wouldn't work, the phone would try to dial it as a phone number. I recall the Sprint rep having be do that before sending out the Magic Box when I called in. She was confused since the menus and names didn't match up to what she was having me try to locate.
Did both those things. The phone restarted. The cell icon flickered off and on a few times.
Speed test: 4.1 down .17 up. this is on the X4. E4 is not activated.
Technically, the number should attempt to dial, because that's how it resets the network settings. Let me double check that I didn't miss any steps on that set.
That option is not in that spot. I did find something listed as Reset Wi-fi, mobile and Bluetooth. I did tap and it requires my pin. Reset done. No LTE next to the cell icon now.
Ok, so now that we know the options for both sets of instructions. Please try again, update the data profile. As soon as it's done, reset the network settings.
OK, did both. Seems to have helped the download speeds. I tried Google speed test and the Speedtest app.
Speedtest app I was able to get 6 Mbps down and 1.69 up.
Google: 9 Mbps down and 0.80 up.
