wuyiL, I am sorry for your frustration. I know every dollar counts in now a days and seeing these charges can be a concern. Let me clear a few things up. It does cost Sprint to activate new phones to the network this is why these activation/upgrade fee's are charged. This is a standard charge in the cellular industry and will be charged in whatever carrier you go to. *Jazmine Social Care
