Why does it take so long to roll out 4G? They have been testing it for a few years now.

So sprint is selling a product that is fairly useless. I drive a truck and am in most major US cities. Have yet to see it work.

Is this going to be like 3G was for years? (1Xrtt everywhere and 3G here and there, and clogged up most of the time.

Come on Sprint, you waiting for the other carriers to pass you by again????

It's because you need something called a "CPE" or Customer Premises Equipment or Customer Provided Equipment. In either case it is the Access point or WIMAX tower that you need installed, with a persons permission to place it on the location and within that locales permits, license and zoning regulations. Can you IMAGINE the regulations associated with gettin a access point and/or WiMax tower install in NYC? Or one installed in a revenue starved town in Pa.? One strong word reference here, NIGHTMARE! Now, try and get you WiMax devices installed on a existing Verizon or AT&T tower.Never going to happen, without a miricle of sorts.

Yep thats how its going to be. I live in Sacramento CA and still waiting for 4G
