Sprint's "Buy one get one free" is a not working (iPhone 7, iPhone 8, iPhone X)

In August 2016, I signed a contract with Sprint because I thought I might as well "Buy one (iPhone 6) and get one free"--as the promotion goes. I was told by the salesperson on the phone that that's what the contract was about: buying 2 phones for the price of one.

It turned out that I've been paying monthly for two phones that I don't own. After 18 months (the duration of the contract), if I want to keep the phone I have to pay an additional $ 174 + taxes ( 200 roughly) for EACH of the phones.

But there's more: now that the "lease" contract expired, I'm paying double for each of the phones because, I learnt, I am now "leasing on a month-to-month basis".

It's just a not right.

For the record, I've talked to them and I've received no satisfactory resolution.

Customer service is just useless.
