Trouble upgrading phone after it was ported out and back into Sprint

I ported my phones out and back in, in April. I have been trying to upgrade 3 lines but Sprint is telling me I have to pay the remainder of the phone balance. Even though there is still a lease and the phone could be turned back in. I went to the store and it is saying that the phones are showing lost/stolen or turned back in. But obviously not since I still have all lines with never even reporting them stolen. How can I go about returning the device, and changing the leases for new devices. I don't want to buy the phones. Every time I have called Sprint they keep sending me to sales.

How long were you gone from Sprint, when you ported out?

I was only ported out minimum of 1 day, like 1.5 days.
