Galaxy S5 gets hot on 3G but not LTE?

Okay so I have a Galaxy S5 and I get great battery life on LTE however when I'm on 3G even if I have full bars my phone gets very hot when I use data. Even just streaming Spotify for 10 minutes will leave my phone at around 110 degrees and will eat my battery like crazy! It's been this way ever sense I got my phone. Does anyone else have this problem or is something wrong with my phone?

RavenNull,

I understand your concern with your device. This isn't a known issue with the device. When your Galaxy S5 shows 3G, do you verify that 4G is turned off? If not, although your device shows 3G it's still searching for 4G/LTE service. Have you visited your local repair store?

Re: Galaxy S5 gets hot on 3G but not LTE?

That should not happen, The S5 has only one antenna, so if it does not get hot under LTE, it shouldn't get hot under 3G.

I'm wondering if your service is not that good under 3G and like Sprintcare said, your phone will constantly search for the best signal around you, and jump from tower to tower.

Actually I had had that problem sense I bought it but about 5 days ago I no longer have that problem. It's really weird but I'm not going to question it xD
