Hi Michael. The default password should be your 10 digit phone number. Check out page 275 of the attached link to the Note5 User Guide and let us know if you have any other questions!

Hi Michael. Did you check out the link I attached previously? There are detailed instructions on how to get the hotspot turned on and configured.

What steps have you completed thus far?

Below are a more detailed version of the steps needed to enable the hotspot on your phone. If you run into any issues in completing any of the steps, please let me know so we can look into this further.

  1. Swipe down the Status bar.

  2. Tap the Settings icon.

  3. Scroll to and tap Hotspot and Tethering.

  4. Tap Hotspot

  5. Tap MORE.

  6. Tap Configure Hotspot.

  7. The Network nameSecurity type, and Password are displayed and may be edited.

These settings are required for other devices to connect to the Hotspot.

    Tap SAVE when finished.

  8. Tap the Hotspot switch to turn the feature ON.

Note: The hotspot requires an active 3G or 4G connection.

If Wi-Fi is enabled, an Attention prompt will appear. Tap OK to disable Wi-Fi and enable the Hotspot.

  9. The Hotspot is now set up.
