Restoring "unbacked-up" contacts from Samsung Galaxy S2

I had a Samsung Galaxy S2 that had its screen broken.  The user never backed up their contacts or synced them with google mail.  The phone still seems to "work" although the screen is completely black.  Before activating a new phone (a newer Samsung Galaxy S2) for the same number, i connected the older broken phone to my computer and dumped the entire contents to the computer.  Is it possible to simply copy a few files back to the new phone to restore the old contact list?

Thanks

Thanks for posting on our community forum.  I am here to help; You should definitely be able to copy the content into the new equipment. Did you use Kies to transfer the information to your computer? If, so you can use the steps provided here http://www.samsung.com/us/support/SupportOwnersFAQPopup.do?faq_id=FAQ00029017&fm_seq=29185
