I am getting really tired of having to reboot to "fix" this battery eatting bug. The phone will not sleep like this and it sucks battery extremely fast when this happens. The phone gets into a loop trying to suspend. This also seems to commonly be a big part of the loss of signal issue. Please please please get this fixed! This is supposed to be your flagship phone that we just spent big money purchasing. Unfortunately, your 14 day return policy kind of limits options at this point.
Folks - In another thread, someone raised a good point, which is that as much as we'd like to think that Sprint is paying attention to its customers and using these forums for input, it is likely quite the opposite. We feel 'better' venting here thinking someone is going to listen, but look more closely. The last time someone from Sprint actually commented on the issue was almost a month ago. Since then, nothing.
The way to get Samsung/Sprint to pay attention to this is to help other people - who haven't purchased the phone yet - be made aware of the risk they incur by buying. Go to the retail sites and leave your reviews. Go to Amazon; leave a review, or if you don't have time, read mine:
and IF YOU AGREE, please mark it as 'Helpful', which will move the review to the top of the list there.
BTW, I just missed an important scheduled call because my phone 'looked' like it was on, but the radio was out (and yet I still had 48% battery life after 4 hours of use)....
I believe the issue you are referring to is the loss of service problem, not the OS Battery bug which is the subject of this thread.
While this particular OS battery issue may have a resolution (see my post above), I don't think there has been a resolution to the LOS problem.
