There Is a serious problem with the galaxy s2. Is it going to be fixed?

I am not one to post complaints but this is out of control. It seems like sprint is not even acknowldeging there is an issue with the s2. I had my phone for a year and it has been great. Then I got a recent update, and I started having signal problems then it start rebooting at 100% battery and restarting almost dead. After a couple weeks of this my battery started swelling. So I took it in. The local sprint store ordered me a new phone. Then forgot to order a battery. So they found one around and gave it to me. This phone wouldn't charge. So I went to another sprint store. They told me the charging port was bad and ordered me a 3rd galaxy s2. Then I came in when the phone was supposed to be in and they told me the order was messed up and somehow didnt get put in. So I wait another few days. Finally the phone came in. I got it..it charged...all was good. That was two days ago....tonight I looked at my new phone and watched it do they exact same restart my first one did. Loss of signal..flickering..restart..low battery. I've seen a ton of posts about this- can Sprint please accept responsibility for this and get the problem fixed. Also I have seen a couple posts blaming sd cards. This new phone has never had a sd card in it. Sorry to say but I think this is it for me and Sprint. This whole adventure was too much.

Loss of signal..flickering..restart..low battery [ thats a battery problem , maybe the battery they gave you is also defective , you should try with a friend battery and see what happens but the flickering..restart..ramdomly low battery thats a battery problem. Mine started acting like that two weeks ago and ordered a new battery on ebay and problem solved.

Sprint nor Samsung want to fix the issues with this brick. It's the beaten neglected red headed step child of the samsung line.

It's ICS charging .  If your phone is charging and goes to full it keeps charging thereby bloating the battery...  No matter how many batteries you use it will keep bloating eventually with this OS.  Go to Sprint and have them flash you back to Gingerbread... not only will you get much better battery life but you will also get stuff like facebook calendar sync as well!  You might experience some data roaming but who doesn't on this carrier ;/

Re: There Is a serious problem with the galaxy s2. Is it going to be fixed?

As an update. I sent a message to sprint corporate. The had a "care specialist" call me back who proceeded to tell me my options were to 1. Pay the Deductible and get another galaxy s2(which I am sure will have the same issue) or 2. Do an early upgrade for 280 dollars and get a new phone. So even though this is the second replacement I have got in a month(first two were both FREE through the sprint store by the way) I need to pay to fix an obvious issue with the phone. The specialist told me that I needed to pay because my phone is out of warranty, the same phone that I received brand new from a sprint store last week. After explaining all of this I was told that I can go back in to a sprint store and see if they will give me another phone and then if that phone also doesn't work I can call back to corporate and they will let me have another "model of their choosing". Unbelievable. Im going to go try to get the 3rd phone, if it does the same thing. I'm going to root it and go back to gingerbread- cancel my 8 dollar a month insurance and happily go to verizon when my contract is up. I have until january of next year- So I am also considering an early termination. Either way I'm done with sprint. Thanks for the great customer service. I'll make sure to reccomend sprint service to every one I know.

Re: There Is a serious problem with the galaxy s2. Is it going to be fixed?

I just went to the sprint store a few days ago and they were fully aware of the problem. They told me that it is a voltage issue with the phone, and it is pushing too much power out of the battery. It cost me $29.99 to replace the battery at the sprint store because it is out of the "one year manufacturer's warranty". What blows my mind is that samsung is aware of the problem but they refuse to fix the phone if it's over a year old, and they leave it to sprint to charge people money for a off branded battery. This better not happen again! once again, i am dissatisfied with my Galaxy S2.

Yup same thing is happening to me, but they want me to pay deductible or buy a new battery.  The thing is Sprint is not even acknowledging the problem. It restarts several times and then shows 0 % battery.  I have to constantly carry my charger, the only thing that helps is plugging it in to charge and it seems to stop the reboot at that time.  Never know when its going to happen.  I'm not so sure if I'm coming back to Sprint as well after this.
