|subject||[ANSWER]Froyo 2.2 update on my phone when?|
My Question Via Samsung Forums on the 14th Of December:
You've stated via twitter that All US Phones will have Android 2.2 before the end of the year, 17 days and counting. What is the deal?
Thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately, we are unable to speculate when/if this software revision might be available due to the fact that this might lead to inaccurate information and confusion.
Should this become available, it will be posted on our website in the Samsung Download Center.
Thank you for your continued interest in Samsung products.
Thats Sprints "generic" answer to everything. They don't want to admit to the fact their custom apps and such are holding it up more then a buggy Android 2.2. They obviously don't read their own forums and see that the public is crying out to them to stop putting their apps in the OS install which if they would take them out of it and just release them later on would get updates for the OS out to us faster then having to wait for them to get their apps working and then release it with the apps pre-installed and uninstallable unless you root the phone.
