Is the Samsung Galaxy NOTE coming to Sprint? I love this phone and I would like to get it ASAP. I currently have an EVO 4G and my contract has been available for a new upgrade since Sep of 2011. The EVO is a great phone and was truly a ground breaking device when it was released. I came to Sprint and replaced my ATT iPhone just to get the EVO. It has served me well and I have been so happy with it. But I am now ready for something distinctly new and with better capabilities than my EVO. IMHO the iPhone is just on par with my EVO and the Nexus Prime is nice since it has ics, but again not ground breaking. The NOTE on the other hand is a ground breaking device and worth getting at any "reasonable" price. It introduces a new device market -- ie the phone/tablet hybrid. I am definitely in the demographic. With this device, I would no longer required carrying both my EVO and my Samsung Tab around at the same time. I can leave my Tab for home use and use the NOTE for everthing on the road. The Note opens us up to a new world. Sprint, help me to take part in it.
Yes, I know. I could always go back to ATT and get the NOTE, but frankly, I like how Sprint has listened to customer requests, maintained unlimited data plans and significantly improved customer service over past years. So you will have to forgive me for wanting to remain loyal to Sprint even though my "precious" is soon being offered at ATT. I am willing to wait a couple of monthes in hopes that Sprint will get the Galaxy NOTE also. <fingers crossed>
Sprint -- I want my NOTE !!! pretty please with Ice Cream Sandwich on top
I certainly don't care about headline grabbing (crap) and taking my time and effort to post- well; if you don't like the post - DON"T READ IT. Someone else might benefit from the information - did you think of that?
And THAT'S exactly what is was.....headline grabbing with NO NEWS so the fact that you grabbed a headline and posted it was for what? There was NOTHING definitive about that article and the date of release was just somebody guessing. We can all do that! Wild goose chasing is not cool.
And FWIW, TS knows far more than you can begin to imagine. If that bothers you--too bad.
That sounds great to me ... let's all rely on one source for our information; and here I thought this site was for sharing information. The article I re-posted was newly posted, not old. So what that it rehashed information already out there. I guess you don't read several sources for news - Oh I forgot - you only use go to one source.
Oh BTW - I could care less.
I truly apologize. I re-read the posts in questions and had made a mistake. I am referring to the article that had the Oct 28th date in the headline but didn't have any proof, which naturally is not the one you posted about. I blame myself for criss-crossing the articles and replies. My bad.
Again, I apologize.
btw, this article has the date in the headline and proof showing t-mobile deploying on the same date as of the NYC event.
I just know that when I asked this weekend a customer service representative said it would be available on October 24 and mine is pre-ordered. They called me back on Monday with the plan information I needed.
sprint customer service using my cell phone. Originally speaking with tech support who transferred me. But the gentleman checked on what changes I would need to make to my plan and called me back the next day with details and pre-order confirmation. At least I hope it was pre-order as he said. I am to pick it up in Huntington WV on the 24th
I called today to see if I could place a pre-order for the GN2, and even though it was hinted to me that they were getting ready for it, they told me I could not pre-order it.
I wonder if you actually preorder it or it was just a reminder for availability (just to let you know when it will become available for order)?
Please double check on that if you could, and get back to us. It will be much appreciated.
I can order the NOTE 2 on October 24th. Only problem is I would have no 4g for at least a year here..
Looks like I will be ordering a NOTE 2 on October 24th, just have to decide if I want Verizon or ATT service.
Hi, If it was me, I would get the AT&T version of Galaxy Note II, reason #1, if AT&T is not your cup of tea, there are several MVNO that you can take it to. H2O, Straight Talk, Red Pocket, Simple Mobile, etc. #2. If none of these services suit you, you can unlock it, take it to T-MO since its a quad band. With Sprint, depending on your location, you might not have LTE, and since it does not include a WIMAX radio, you're stock with molasses speed on 3G. I don't know much about VZW, you'll have to do your research on that one. I left Sprint last June and paid $120.00 ETF for two EVO 4G and bought an AT&T Galaxy Note SGH-I717 and a AT&T Galaxy S2 SGH-I727 Skyrocket and activated them on Straight Talk. They use AT&T towers so I get HSPA+ speed which is several times faster than SPRINT Wimax.
Only downside is if your data hungry and download more than 100MB/day or 2G/per 30 days, then Straight Talk is not for you.
Do you know if SPRINT has a plan in place to compensate for us lowly folks who will not get 4G LTE or even 4G for a year or more? I live in the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale metro and we aren't even on the board until the end of 2013!
SPRINT are you listening?
