The same thing happened to me.
I clicked the camera icon to take a picture,
I noticed the flash icon wasn't lit so I clicked
the shooting mode option, it was limited, not
like before when I took pictures. I finally asked
my son (he's 10), he showed me why my options
we're limited. Somehow I clicked the camera icon in the
top right corner and that turned it around to take a picture
of me, therefore limiting the options. All you do is click
the camera icon in the top right hand corner and all the
options your looking for will be there. The self camera doesn't
have the same options, no flash, etc.
I hope this helped.
My wife had a similar problem.
I think they sent out a refurbished phone.
Bring up the camera and go to settings scroll down to reset.
Hope it works..
I've had my Samsung Galaxy S III for about 2 months and I just noticed that my camera didn't have certain camera features that other Samsung Galaxy S III had (only used single shot). I clicked the Camera App, then clicked the shooting mode option. There is only single shot, share shot, buddy photo share, beauty, smile shot, and cartoon. Nothing else. Couldn't scroll down any further. Any idea of how I can recover or some how get the missing features (Panorama, Burst shot, Face detection, HDR, Lowlight) back? (You can look at the scroll bar and it won't go any further down). I'm not sure what's going on...Any help is appreciated.
Here is a screenshot of the shooting modes I have. (hopefully picture works)...
