Samsung Galaxy s3 Signal Issues

I just upgraded to the S3 from the iPhone 4s and although I love the S3 I am having issues with my phone signal...NO SIGNAL AT ALL... I never had this problem before. My wife evo has no issues with signal strength at home so it's not my area. Is this a know issues and is there a fix coming...  I have been to the sprint store and called sprint and got know help... What is going on....

Or you can go this route. http://www.sprint4glawsuit.com/ At the end end of the day the network stinks and I'm tired of being tolerant. They want nearly a $1000 to let me out of my contract after nearly 9 years of service (network has only sucked about 2 years). I'm encouraging supporting the class action suit.

Glad to know I am not alone in this.  Poor phone reception AND no 4G.  I mean, come on.  I live in Las Vegas Nevada and they have extremely poor phone service and don't have 4G? The whole darned Place ain't that big, but they can't figure out the amount of Data usage and Phone usage this area has?  I'll be hitting my 1 year mark in my latest contract of many in the next few weeks.  I'll be paying whatever it takes to get out of this phone service and going (unfortunately) to Verizon.  They actually have the best service in the area, works everywhere (even inside the casinos).  It's going to cost me almost twice as much per month, but at least I'll have a usable phone.

Have you seen the LTE areas in Vegas being mapped on Sensorly?

231. My Galaxy 3 just started acting up after 9 months.  Last night I could barely talk to anyone because I had no bars (48180 zip code).  Just now at work (48226 zip) I have zero bars.  Do any one have the answer to this problem or is everyone getting the same run around?

I have checked out the LTE map for Vegas.  They're apparently "Testing" the service.  The map is not correct.  Where there may have been service last week, there isn't this week.  I actually added one of those points.  We had LTE for about a week, then it was gone.  Some the areas that seem pretty solid, may have been at one time, but hasn't been active for months.  Basically, it's pretty much like the regular phone service (let alone the 58 kbps 3G...actual numbers) has become.  It works one time, then it doesn't, then it does, then it doesn't.  So, don't tell people we have LTE service here in Vegas.  We don't.

mscass  I had spent probably 20 hours on the phone with tech support.  It seems most of them just throw things at the wall andsee if it sticks.  I actually had one guy blame my cable company for my phone roaming.  They did update after update 3 different last ditch efforts and finally got ahold of  a guy named Adam in Fort Worth that had the same problem I did and after three attempts it seem its finally fixed have good signal and has not roamed once in my home since

I actually am experiencing the same issues. Ever since the 4G towers went up, I am dropping more calls and have no signal at places that I previously had no problems with before. I just spoke with someone at Sprint and she stated that she reset something on my phone while I was on the call with her. I then turned the phone off and back on, turned the WiFi off and currently have 4G service (48362 area). No problem so far and browsing the internet is pretty fast, but I will know better tomorrow when I am back in the Southfield area. That is where my phone starts to act funky. I can't even listen to iHeartradio because the signal is awful. I really think that it has something to do with the 4G towers and the fact that I have a Galaxy S3 from when it first came out. I hear the newer ones don't have the same issue. Who knows!!? I will try to call them back and find out what it is she supposedly reset.

We are having the same problems here in SW MI. It seems the tower upgrades are affecting phone service. I'll be on the phone with 4g service and all of the sudden it drops and then I see i'm back on 3g. It must have something to do with turning them on and off during the upgrade process. Its very frustrating but I hope they can get their new network complete so we can have good service again. Here its been going on for about 6 weeks

the usual tower upgrade takes about 4 weeks without running into any issues to upgrade..add in a couple weeks for whatever else they might have ran into on top of the test and tune phase..6 weeks isnt the greatest...but its by far not the worst one to date lol

Basically, in order to have any data service with my phone, I had to go out and buy a wireless hotspot.  It costs me $49.99 a month for unlimited data.  I wonder if I can deduct this cost from my bill.....

Its a shame, the G3 is a good phone except for the radio.  I have found that the Samsung phones Vs HTC phones the HTC wins hands down for its ability to get and use a reliable signal.  Of course the HTC phones aren't without their problems, I found the HTC phones (Hero and Evo) both had severe ring lag so its take your poison.

You shouldn't have to do that. the whole purpose of a "data" plan is so you don't have to have another ISP. Also the post regarding a 4 week normal tower upgrade time isn't happening here. We were at 4 weeks when I last posted over two months ago. I'm beginning to think this a government owned company, they promise, promise, promise, but all they really care about is your vote money.
