Google has finally fixed the missing hotword detection feature from any screen that was removed from the S6 and S6 edge several weeks ago. For those of us that use Google Now on a regular basis, this was crippling to the functionality because you were required to be on the screen with the Search bar and the voice prompt would not work on any other screen. In the search app under settings>voice, several menu options were completely missing and I'm happy to say, they're back and better than ever, now with the ability to give yourself a trusted voice option which allows your recorded OK Google voice command to unlock your device. Very cool and yet another way that biometric authentication continues to grow.
