The wait is almost over! On Friday, 10 April, you can walk into any Sprint store and pick up your very own Samsung GalaxyS6! What could be better? How about a FREE Galaxy S6!
Pre-orders for the Galaxy S6 started shipping on 6 April so those of you who raised your hand early will receive your Galaxy S6 any day. Before that awesome package shows up on your doorstep let's take a look at what's in the box!
I'm testing out the Sapphire Black 32 GB model. The box is rather plain, which totally disguises the awesomeness that awaits you inside.
Unlike past devices, the Galaxy S6 is wrapped loosely in the privacy and policy wrap. Previous devices have had a self-sticking wrap that had to be peeled off the front glass. Not the case with the S6.
Ooooo....ahhhhhhh.... it's so shiny and glossy and deep black. So far I love it!
Under the phone tray you will find the usual goodies: Get Started manual, SIM removal tool, USB 2.0 charge/sync cable, an Adaptive Fast Charging charger and Samsung's newest earbuds.
Let's take a look at those new, fancy earbuds. It appears Samsung is...ahem...keeping up with the competition at first glance. The major difference between Samsung's new earbuds and that of the competition is Samsung's buds come with two sizes of soft gel covers which not only feel better but also stay in your ears better. These earbuds are obviously designed to be used and used on the go, not sitting portrait still.
Here are the major specs here for you to drool over.
5.1" Quad-HD Super AMOLED® 2560 x 1440 @ 577 PPI under Corning® Gorilla® Glass 4
Main Camera (Rear):
16MP with OIS
Still pics: 2988 x 5312 pixels, optical image stabilization, autofocus, LED flash
Sprint will carry the S6 in White Pearl and Black Sapphire.
Glass back is Corning® Gorilla® Glass 4
That's it for the box and it's awesome contents. I'm really looking forward to diving into this fantastic next sequel in the wildly popular Galaxy S series of smartphones from Samsung. Keep watching this space for opinions on the Galaxy S6, tips, tricks and features.
Until next time,
