Some of our awesome Sprint customers have not been able to fully experience the awesomeness that is the Samsung Galaxy S6 or S6 edge. Some of you have been experiencing a high rate of dropped calls. I have good news! Today we are making available an update that will fix that issue. The update is available to everyone immediately.
If you've changed any network settings prior to this patch then you may have to "un-do" those settings:
Settings > Mobile networks > Network mode: Set to "LTE/CDMA" or "Automatic."
Make sure you're connected to WiFi (the download is ~130 MB).
Go into your phone Settings > System update > Update now.
The update should begin automatically.
Let the update run, your phone will reboot.
Check to ensure the update applied:
Settings > About device > scroll down to "Build number" and make sure it ends in ~OE2.
FAQs, troubleshooting tips, guides, videos and links to lots of helpful information can be found here.
I hope this helps those of you who have experienced problems with dropped calls. We are VERY glad that you are Sprint customers. Please leave us some feedback in the comments and let us know how the update has helped.
Thanks, and until next time,
