How do I go about getting my phone unlocked? I've switched carriers and was assured by Sprint customer service that as soon as I ported my number over to the new carrier my device would work. It didn't. I called customer service and was then told I needed to pay the early termination fee and it would be unlocked (understandable) I paid it off immediately over the phone, and was told it would work in 24-48 hours. It doesn't. I've spent hours on the phone with numerous reps who all give me different excuses. One told me today that since I'm no longer a Sprint customer they will not unlock it (and then hung up on me.) Several other representatives I've talked to assure me it's already unlocked. I'm beyond frustrated and reminded of why I switched carriers. (I've gotten a similar run-around in my 9 years with Sprint whenenver I had an issue.) Has anyone had any luck with getting a device unlocked? Is there another customer service number I should be calling?

which carrier did you switch over from? and do you already have a sprint sim card for your device?
