In the past, I was not a huge tablet fan, as I have been using phablets for a while now and had a tough time justifying the use case for me to actively use a tablet. Oh, how naive I was. I now have been using a Samsung Galaxy Tab S2, and wow.. I had no idea what I was missing. This thing is brilliant! Samsung created an amazingly fast, beautiful, awesome tablet.
I was traveling recently and discovered that the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 makes a perfect trip companion. It is lightweight (weighing only .86 lbs), extremely thin (only .22”), and 9.7” tall. Having Sprint LTE on this tablet really comes in handy, as I do not have to connect to a hotel’s vulnerable, slow, and unstable WiFi, and instead know my data is secure as it is connected to the Sprint network for data connectivity.
When it comes to speed and performance, this device is a beast! It is sporting a 64 Bit Octa-core processor (Quad 1.9 GHz + Quad 1.3GHz), 3GB RAM, and 32GB ROM, and accepts a microSD of up to 128 GB. It is extremely fast, and with those storage options, you can save media to your device and install a plethora of apps like a boss!
Connectivity: WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac MIMO (2.4GHz/5GHz), WiFi Direct, Bluetooth 4.1 BLE
GPS: GPS, GLONASS
Sensor: Accelerometer, Finger Scanner, Gyroscope, Compass, Hall Sensor, RGB Sensor
Memory: 3GB RAM, 32GB ROM, expansion: up to 128GB microSD
Dimensions: 6.65” x 9.7” x .22”
Weight: .86 lbs
Battery: 5870mAh (embedded)
I have been using this tablet for email, browsing, Spotify tunes, media streaming (Netflix, Hulu, etc.), social media, and more. Its super amoled display is stunning and makes using the Tab S2 so enjoyable. I really love this device and highly recommend it.
